E Building Construction Photos Digitization
BackgroundThe construction of the E Building at the Palais des Nations between 1969 and 1972 was documented by a young architect and photographer. He was asked to periodically photograph the progress of the expansion project. These images offer rare insight into UN heritage and historic architectural development of the Palais.
ScopeThe project aims to digitize over 1,100 black‑and‑white 6×6 negatives showing the construction phases of the E Building. The collection covers key moments of the late‑1960s expansion. Digitization will ensure long‑term preservation and improved access for research and exhibitions.
